This inaugural edition of Persecution Tracker reports incidents that occurred in the months of July through to mid-September 2022. 

Arbitrary deprivation of life: killings and grievous attacks by state actors and private groups 
Arbitrary detention: arrests and incarceration, use of security laws, lack of access to fair trial rights
Incitement to discrimination, hostility and violence
Violations of freedom of religion: Restrictions on practice and manifestation of religion, targeting religious places 
Discrimination in access to economic, social and cultural rights
Restrictions of the right to participation
Violations of the right to effective remedy
Conclusion: Contravening international obligations; failing Responsibility to Protect!
